Quick post today. We’re carving pumpkins at the Tribe tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7 pm. We’ll have carving tools and a few spare pumpkins, so BYOP and come butcher some big orange squashes with us. Some of you shouldn’t get to play with the big knives, but tomorrow there are no rules!

More DVD shooting this weekend. Brent joined me in a deadlift workout, which included pulls of all varieties (as the pictures show). I’d say we’re about half way to the finish line with this project. We’ll keep you posted.

Other news:

In the face of Proposition 8, several friends of Bodytribe got married this weekend. So congratulations to Cody and Wes, who made the brave decision of handing me a very expensive camera and saying “take pictures of the ceremony” (this from Wes, a professional photographer). Hopefully the quality of the camera and the always fun garden rooftop setting make up for my lack of photography skills. To buck all cliches, we gathered around the TV after the ceremony and watched the UFC fights.

Beth and Stacey also tied the knot, although none of us were invited, so we have no idea how it went. Perhaps a little UFC for them as well? Congrats all around!

  • Congrats to the marrieds!

Those farmers bars look like my old ones. Did you find them behind a shed in Arizona?

    Happy Samhain.

  • Nah. I took some old pipe, drilled some holes in them, bolted them together and spray painted them black.

  • Same, they worked well. They may be in use at a CF gym in Flagstaff. Or still behind the shed.

  • They have nice, thick, grip-killing handles (or grip-building), them farmer’s bars…

Congrats to the newly-weds. I’m seriously concerned about the outcome of election and this yes-on-8 surge. I guess we can just hope for the best & vote…

  • Congratulations, newlyweds!

  • Chip,
I expect pictures of tonights jack ‘o’ lanterns on your next post or I’ll “pumpkin carve ” you!

  • A big thank you to Chip for taking wonderful shot of our wedding! I’ll get them up on the site soon!

(oh, Chip, it was the ISO setting that was making things so bright!)

And thank all of you for the well-wishes!!

    -Wes
