Pullups/deadlifts: 6 sets of 5, make ‘em heavy. Hang shit from you if your pullups aren’t gut wrenching.

Alternating bent rows.  Row a couple of heavy items (the farmer’s walk handle work nice), lower one then alternate with the other.  One arm always stays up.

Handstand pushups/kb lateral snatch and clean/burpee. 5 of each (5 per side for the KB’s), for 10 minutes.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 5th anniversary Second Saturday ArtWalk.  Whether you visited or contributed art, I appreciate you being a part of our celebration. For the second month in a row we saw over 1000 people come through our little party, but even sans air conditioning (yuck, but IT’S BEEN FIXED!!!) we still didn’t end up killing each other.  That’s a successful evening.

Trainer Allyson and I are off to Arcata to teach an 2-day strength camp.  We’ll be assisted by our extended tribe members Breon and Josh in teaching our brand of Physical Culture in the redwoods.  We’ll be back Tuesday with pictures and video and big smiles on our faces, especially after visiting Fern Canyon on Monday, one of my favorite places on earth.
