Let’s get heavy!

It is time to start shifting the training towards the heavy stuff a bit more. The upcoming CrossFit Total meet will be here in February and our next APA meet in March, so let’s crank of the max force development.  We won’t ignore GPP, as we want to continue to increase our work capacity substantially through December, but you’ll see a bit more repetition work and force development work in the upcoming workouts.

Max Squatting.  Add toys if desired, but we’re planning some straight, no frills squats.

Front Squats.  let’s rep a little here. 3-4 sets of about 8-10 reps.

Goodmornings/sled blast. Lot’s of barbell work today, but we’ll add the sled blast (push) for a big finisher. 3 sets, 6 reps/100 feet.

This is a very sagittal day, so our ‘Release’ potion will consist of rotational work of the hips and spine, which it usually does anyway.
