Give thanks for the Deadlift

February 23rd we’ll be hosting a CrossFit Total meet here at the Tribe.  Imagine a powerlifting meet, but replace the bench press with a strict overhead press.  Here’s more info:

So we’re back to training hard for maximum force development. BUT we’ve still got to increase our workload and GPP, so the Spectrum of Strength will be well represented within our workouts still.

We’re combining our new carrying combo with some max deadlifts.

Max Deadlifts. We’re stuffed with good food, so let’s aim for a new PR today.

Carrying Combo: Hang snatch/OH farmer’s walk/clean/racked farmer’s walk/deadlift/ standard farmer’s walk.  Two bars and farmer’s walk handles (or one bar for the first two exercises, if you’re feeling bold).  6 hang snatches, ending with the bar overhead for a 100 foot overhead farmer’s walk.  Then start your cleans.  6 of them, full, from-the-ground style, ending in the racked position on the 6th one for another 100 foot walk.  Then deadlift the FW handles for 6 reps, followed by yet another 100 foot walk.  How many times can you do this in 15 minutes?
