Physical Subculture

I’m in a small (very small) club in Redding, California about to play to a small crowd of maybe 12 people.  Like Anthony Kiedis in his earlier years, whose autobiography we’re listening to on the iPod in the tour van, I need a hit.  I’m going through withdrawals.  What I’d give for a heavy piece of iron to throw around right now.  A little fantasy is that Eugene, Oregon will welcome me and my addiction tomorrow, somewhere.

Wish me luck.  Might be 50 burpees on the hotel room floor, but, darn it, these muscles are gonna get a fix.
