Dumbbell challenge
[Notice: this Saturday is the Be Strong workshop, here at Bodytribe at 1 pm. A must for members and friends of Bodytribe who want to know the ‘why’ behind the ‘what.’ See the link on the homepage for details and sign up]
So, on top of the daily workouts, we’re starting to issue monthly challenges, to give us something to shoot for while still staying with whatever training porgram we are on.
Last month’s challenge was the push press/burpee attack, 5 sets of 10 reps each for time.
This month it will be a dumbbell combo (kettlebells if you prefer).
Push up rows (5 reps each side)/burpees (with the weights in hand, 5 reps)/squat press (often called ‘thrusters’ which sounds too ‘porn-like’ for me, 5 reps).
6 sets, for time.
This can be a solo workout unto itself, or it works great after some heavy max-effort benching or jerk pressing.

Push up rows (remember AJ’s mohawk?)
