Don’t F*ck Around on a Monday

Monday usually means squats at Bodytribe, and today is no exception.

Overhead squats will be the lift o’ the day, and we’re going to do heavy triples.

So, overhead squats.  Heavy.  10 sets of 3.

Hang cleans, with deep drops (full squat). 4 sets of 6 (yeah, we’re on a bit of a clean streak recently.  Our goal is to incorporate even more Olympic lifting into our schedules and challenges).

switch lunges/sled drag.  Switch lunges require you to quickly switch your legs from lunging on one side into a lunge on the other.  This means actually taking the feet off the floor and switching quickly in the air.  Although you can jump into these, make it harder by trying not to come up to high, instead using speed when you switch.  The drag the sled about 300 feet (3 laps at Bodytribe).  We’re focusing on going pretty heavy these days, but we can’t completely neglect our GPP training.  3 rounds of this altogether.

Me on my 10th set of overhead squats.  Decided to drop the weight a little and add chains for the last two sets.
